Denmark

Denmark is characterized by a fantastic landscape with coasts, beaches, high moors, national parks, dunes and heaths. This natural beauty is paralleled by exciting cities such as Copenhagen and Aarhus. Denmark attracts all types of people thanks to its diverse and varied leisure offer. While animal lovers enjoy watching seals on the coasts, culture lovers explore the birthplace of author Hans Christian Andersen (The Little Mermaid) or visit Aarhus, the European Capital of Culture. For adrenaline junkies, Dyrehavsbakken, the world's oldest amusement park, and Djurs Sommerland, a huge water park with Denmark's longest roller coaster, are the perfect options. Festivals such as "Fastelavn" or "Soendervig" are incredibly popular events and a great opportunity to experience Danish culture.

Sweden

Sweden is one of Europe's green paradises, with over 30 national parks and countless forests to explore. In general, the country's landscape is incredibly varied, with rivers, mountains, coasts, gulfs, and seas. This diversity is the ideal habitat for many different species such as bears, wolves, lynxes, beavers, otters, seals, and moose. One of the most breathtaking natural phenomenons occurs in Sweden: the Northern lights, which appear at the beginning of September and are a sight that you will bring with you forever. Architecture lovers should definitely pay a visit to Malmo and marvel at the Turning Torso, the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia. For culture lovers Sweden's amazing museums and its traditional medieval spectacle in Gotland are a must.

Norway

Norway is known for its large and varied flora, as well as its mountains, fjords, inland lakes, rapids, waterfalls, canyons, and the largest cold-water coral reef in the world. Island hopping is the most popular way to explore the more than 200.000 islands! Norway is therefore the perfect high school stay destination for nature lovers. Most Norwegian cities offer many different outdoor opportunities such as dog sledding, skiing, snowboarding, canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking and much more. It is not uncommon for you to encounter amazing animals like whales, wolves, bears, polar bears, and reindeer on one of your outings. A must-see during your stay is the North Cape, the town of Vadso to see the Aurora Borealis, the popular viewpoint Trolltunga, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen in Bergen. Also worth experiencing are the countless Norwegian festivals such as the Arctic Arts Festival and the Viking Festival.

Finland

Finland is the perfect destination for your high school stay if Christmas is your favorite holiday. Besides the cold climate, what makes Finland such a winter wonderland are the Santa Claus Office and Village, the Northern Lights spectacle, and of course thousands of reindeer. And that's not all! In Finland you'll also be able to marvel at bears, polar dogs, and the Saimaa ringed seals, just some of the incredible 42,000 species of animals you can discover in Finland's natural landscape. From coastal and lake plains, to hill country, bogs, marshes, forests and the fjell landscape, Finland is a marvel of natural beauty. The country is also known for its countless sport opportunities. The interests of architecture and culture lovers will also be satisfied. Among some of its unmissable sights are Turku, Finland's oldest city, and Helsinki, with its Art Nouveau, Classicism and Functionalism influences. And if you love music, don't miss the many outdoor music events and free concerts that the country offers. Among the festivals worth experiencing are the "Laskiainen" and "Juhannus" ones.
