The simple future tense of the indicative is used to express a future fact/action , which has not yet taken place when we are speaking.

To form the imperfect indicative, you must memorize the endings of conjugated verbs. These are the same for all verbs .

NB : The verbs in "eler" or in "eter" double their consonant or take an accent.

Example :

  • Verbe "renouveler(to renew")" -> je renouvellerai( I will renew)
  • Verbe "acheter(to buy)" -> j'achèterai (I will buy)

The auxiliaries to be and to have are part of the verbs of the third group, but they have a particular conjugation which must be mastered since they make it possible to construct the future perfect of the indicative of all the other verbs.
