Gap Year in Calgary

Your language course does not need to end after a few weeks. You are also able to travel to Calgary for a Gap Year trip abroad. Calgary offers its visitors a very big-city type of atmosphere, while being surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful natural areas, like the Rocky Mountains for example. You can decide whether your exploration of the city and the natural environment around it will go on for between 3 or more months, the maximum amount of time being 12 months. Staying for as long as possible will allow you to become more deeply familiarized with this Canadian city and its people. It is also possible for you to lengthen your stay beyond 12 months upon request. If you decide to stay for longer you can study before noon and be free in the afternoon in order to explore the city and all of your surroundings. Due to the fact that lessons will only be taking place during working days, you will be free to do as you wish throughout the whole weekends. This enables you to visit nearby cities such as Banff, Edmonton, Whistler and Vancouver if you want to.

Our Gap Year language courses

Regardless of whether you want to begin learning English without prior language experience or whether you want to improve upon your current language skills, we have a course to suit your needs exactly. Before you begin your journey you will be taking a placement test, whereafter we will decide which course to allocate you to. In Calgary you will be taught by native English speakers who go about their lessons with great enthusiasm. Within the 4 to 6 lessons per day you will be learning about grammar, spelling and how you will be able to get around the city and communicate effectively after your lessons. The table below displays the prices for both our Standard and Intensive courses. You will either have 4 or 6 lessons per day depending on which option you choose.

Our language school

Our language school in Calgary is located very new the city center as well as the Bow River. The local train will also take you to all sights that you simply need to see very quickly. Some of the places you will not want to miss are Calgary Tower, the Devonian Gardens and the zoo to name just a few. Even though the city is quite modern it still keeps a hold on its more traditional traits too, meaning that you will be able to spot Saloons and Western bars all around town. The school building is fully equipped for your lessons and relaxation before and after your study times. For these times, the school provides you with a common room that contains a TV and a DVD player so you can meet and enjoy your time with fellow students. The building also contains a reception, a kitchen, a library for you to continue studying in and a computer room. Additionally you will have access to free WIFI.
