China is the land of silk and the heart of Asia with around 1.4 billion citizens. Traditions and culture are everything in China, and are preserved and celebrated in all aspects of everyday life. China is also incredibly advanced when it comes to economics and technology, something that is easily noticeable in its big cities. The never-ending excitement of the busy Chinese metropolises is counterbalanced by the peace and introspection of its more rural areas, where one can discover and explore the Great Wall of China, one of the seven new wonders of the world, and the legendary Terracotta Army.
China is not only the perfect destination for culture lovers and tech geeks, but also for nature lovers. The country has the richest and most diverse collections of plants and animals in the world. In addition to China's national animal, the panda, one can also observe snow leopards, moose, reindeer, monkeys, elephants, camels, bears, and many more. Don't miss a visit to the Wulingyuan Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Zhangjiajie National Park, which served as the model for the Hallelujah Mountains in James Cameron's Avatar.
