Tarwater
Bernd Jestram and To Rococo Rot member Ronald Lippok met while playing in a punk band in former East Germany . Later, with the passage of time, they moved away from the fast and simple rhythms of punk in favour of a more subtle subversion, in which the structures of songs were reinforced and modified by fragments of spoken word and underwater electronic, as can be appreciated on their album Silur (1998).

Two years later they edited the surreal Animals, Suns & Atoms, which began where Silur had ended, with their monochromatic voices and tranquil and hypnotic loops. In 2002 they edited their latest work, Dwellers on the Threshold.
