Gap Year in Beijing

You won't find a more exciting and enthralling place to learn Chinese than in the Middle Kingdom itself. This giant Chinese territory displays the large variety of traditional and modern developments that China has to offer. While you take a Gap Year Chinese course to improve your language skills you can taste the local cuisine and the picturesque temples at the same time. You can decide for how long you would like to stay in the country and your language course can last for up to 12 months.

Your Gap Year course

On the first day you will be taking a placement test that helps us determine which course level would be best for your effective learning experience. Lessons always take place from Mondays until fridays and are each 45 minutes long. It is therefore up to you to plan and do anything you would like to during the weekends. All of our teachers are highly qualified native speakers who teach their language with a great amount of enthusiasm which never fails to get all students engaged in their enjoyable lessons. Aside from their linguistic and educational competence they are also very helpful people who can help you with any questions you have about the country, its people and the local environment. When you finish your course you will receive a course completion certificate from us. You have the choice between a Standard or an Intensive course in your Gap Year. You can determine your daily workload by choosing between the option for 4 lessons per day or 6 lessons per day. The prices for both of our course types are displayed in the table below.

The language school

Our language school in Beijing is located right next to the Forbidden City within the Emperor's Garden, which is a truly fascinating place. Until the revolution, the Chinese emperor lived in this area as a common citizen und was denied access to the city which is why it is still called the Forbidden City today. The city was pronounces to be one of the world heritage sites by UNESCO in 1987. It lies at the northern end of the Tian’anmen square.
