Malta is a welcoming, relaxing and safe destination for people of all ages and juniors as well

St. Julian's is generally considered safe for juniors, but like any popular tourist destination, it's wise to be vigilant, especially in crowded areas and at night. There have been reports of petty crimes such as pickpocketing on buses between Valletta and St. Julian's, particularly during the summer season. Additionally, Paceville, a part of St. Julian's known for its nightlife, can be lively and crowded, with some concerns about safety at night

Tourists perceive St. Julian's as a safe destination, with a significant portion describing it as "excellent" or "good" in terms of safety. A survey by the Malta Tourism Authority found that 34.1% of tourists considered St. Julian's "excellent" for safety, while 60.8% described it as "good"

We as a school recommends for a week-long camp in Malta, a reasonable amount of pocket money for a child for around €100-€150. This should cover snacks, some meals out, souvenirs, and entrance fees for activities. it's best to use a combination of cash for small purchases and tips, and credit cards for larger transactions, ensuring you have both for flexibility and convenience.

The currency in Malta is the Euro (€).

For personal travel protection, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance and travel health insurance. It is always worth thinking about additional personal accident insurance
